Before get in JB, there is a massive jam at the expressway until the end of causeway. Prehaps it is the longest jam I had ever experienced! It’s really a O.M.G. experience to be trapped in the car for 2 hours before we reached our neighborhood country. Just look at the photo below. Starting our journey at 4.30pm, and reach at 6.30pm. What a jam!

After which, we sent Caleb’s car to polish, we make our journey to the infamous Restoran SPOA 合德宝阿斯里海鲜. Getting there is not a easy task as it is a really wulu place, if not for the driving direction we took from Dreamers Loft blog, it is a good guide.

  • From secondlink (travelling on North-South Highway), exit at Pasir Gudang (exit no. 256).
  • After exiting, basically you are on Pasir Gudang highway.
  • Drive all the way straight with no turns at all for about 40-50mins.
  • You will know it’s nearing soon, when you enter the industrial zone with a couple of refineries as well as the Johor Port.
  • Drive on till you reach Tanjung Puteri Golf Course on the right of the road.
  • Turn in and just follow the paved road all the way.
  • You will then reach a stretch of coarsely and poorly paved road (beware road is rather bumpy).
  • Proceed till you see a sign board amidst a palm oil plantation.
  • It may seem a dead end but no, turn right into the palm oil plantation (be warn that the ‘road’ is bumpy and narrow) and
  • you’ll be surprised to see 3 to 4 restaurants along river bank which is the Straits of Johor overseeing Northern Pulau Ubin!

Although the place is quite wulu and inside, it is surprised to see so many people eating at the place even when we reach like 8pm(quite late for a dinner). Many of those are Singaporean.

We did our order and while waiting for the food, we took some photos.

Guess what on the table first?

Photobucket

It’s the thai coconut that we ordered. It is sweet and juicy. A good drink for a long waiting heaty day. Don’t know what is Eugene doing in the background.

Photobucket

Next on the table is a kind of shell fish, called fake abalone 假鲍鱼, it’s a thin slice of it with a very sour sauce. I think is some lime or ayam sauce.

Photobucket

Of course, with a plate of fried rice to go along with the food.

Photobucket

Next is the deep fried Squid, I think it is the best food for the night. Very chewy.

Photobucket

Another hot favourite(not for Tuanhong), the cereal prawn!

Photobucket

You Mai Cai 油麦菜, a juicy vege to go along with the seafood.

Photobucket

Kong kong, one of my favourite shell, think it is the 2nd time I ate this. The first time was years ago when I was a kid.

Photobucket

And of course with a big fish to go along with it. The fish is called underwater chicken 海底鸡. However, the meat is not as tender as we thought.

Photobucket

Lastly, the only meat, chicken in dark sauce. This is cooked using Kampung Chicken, the meat is not as tender, very rough.

Photobucket

So much food and hey, we managed to finished it all! Great job people! Not forgetting took some more photos before we left.

After which, wanna to go and watch Transformer at Jusco, but is FULLY BOOKED. Sold out for all timing, amazing, what a famous show. Left with no choice, we decided to go back and collect Caleb’s car back. And lok lok for supper and some chit chat before we headed back. Home sweet home.

The address for Restoran SPOA is

Restoran SPOA
Telok Kabong, Kg. Pasir Puteh, Johor
Tel: 07-216 2798

Rated 3 out of 5 stars. Not very great but it is cheap. Our total bill only RM270, which add up to RM50+ each person.

If you are born in the seventies or eighties, you grew up listening to the songs of this great guy below.

_45974396_001018374-1

This is the King of Pop that everyone recognize. This morning when traveling to work and listening to the radio as usual. A bad news certainly appear before me, the King of Pop has pronounced dead at the age of 50 this morning.

Who can forget all those songs he sang and wrote? Beat it, Billie Jeans, Man in the Mirror,  Smooth Criminal and not forgetting the best of all, Heal the World.. Make it a better place…

Pay my tribute to the King-of-Pop-Forever. No one in this industry can really dance and sing as great as he is by looking at the record breaking sales of his albums and the number of impersonators he has.

Rest in Peace, Michael Jackson. You will be remembered always.

Made a trip down to NUS to collect my graduation gown with Caleb today. The queue is freaking long. There is only 1 cashier open up for those not collect the gown accordingly to the schedule, while the other accordingly to schedule has 4 cashier. I was like waiting for more than 1 hour just to pay for my gown. -_-”’

But after that, everything was smooth and fast. Although there is a lot of things given. Most of those are useless paper. I think only the ticket is useful for me. And yea, we signed up for NUS Alum Standard Chartered Debit Card! It seem nice and best of it, can sign up for Standard Chartered Marathon with a discount price using it. That’s not all, there is a promotion for those first 50 to spend $200 using that will win a PSP! I am so-gonna-spend the $200 on the first day to get the PSP! lolz.

Went home today and took a picture of the stuff! Look below, the big gown cover and all the papers! They should give lesser of the paper to save the Earth and Trees.

Photobucket

Yeah! Anyway friends, my commencement will be held on 11th July 3pm. All are invited for photo taking. =D (My big day leh..). I think the photo taking session will start after that, will be around 4.30pm-5pm! Just come during that period will do! =p

As recommended by Tuanhong, we went to The Coffee Nation at Bugis there just now for dinner. Saw Tuanhong working building, it is right opposite of it.

The whole ambience there is very cozy, prehaps maybe we sitting at a corner facing the road and the staffs there are friendly too.

Looking through the menu, and beside is the promotion item, we decided to try them out and each of us ordered a different set meal. As the “poorest” among them, I ordered the least experience meal. And go along with a salad, I think is a Cesare Salad, I can’t remember too.

Our Cesare Salad

Tuanhong ordered a Honey Citrus Chicken with Twinings Ice Strawberry and Mango Tea.
